Scientists save endangered ancient species in China's mother river

As one of China's mother rivers, the mighty Yangtze, flows across the vast land. The river is a cradle of biodiversity, and home to some of the world's most ancient species that are on the brink of extinction in the wild. CGTN reporter Sun Tianyuan visits a research center at the Three Gorges Reservoir area in central China's Yichang to find out how scientists there are safeguarding the biodiversity of the Yangtze River.
