"The Soul of China," by 8-year-old Zhang Jiahe from China, wins the Second Prize in the "China Through My Eyes" Global Children's Art Project. /Provided to CGTN by artist and guardian
Through the eyes of this young artist, the essence of Chinese tradition and creativity comes to life. The artwork is divided into two sections: the lower half portrays a young girl reading at a desk surrounded by traditional writing tools like brushes, inkstones, and bamboo slips, with classical Chinese architecture and blooming lotuses in the background.
In the upper half, a swirling dragon weaves through clouds, accompanied by unfolding bamboo slips that symbolize the continuity of cherished family values. With its rich details and imaginative composition, the piece beautifully highlights the spirit of Chinese culture and heritage.
Congratulations to Zhang Jiahe for winning the Second Prize in the "China Through My Eyes" Global Children's Art Project!
