What does China look like through the eyes of a child? For 8-year-old Enoch Tobeecollin from Indonesia, China is a country that blends tradition with cutting-edge technology. In his painting "China Through My Eyes," he used oil-based pastels, acrylic paint, and markers to create the figure of a female Peking Opera performer in the foreground, a majestic male opera facial mask to the right, and a flying dragon above to represent the traditional culture of China. In a strong visual contrast, Enoch also painted a robot, landmark skyscrapers and a plane to represent a modern China.
Congratulations to Enoch for winning the Third Prize in the "China Through My Eyes" Global Children's Art Project!
