China Media Group (CMG) launched a premium program exhibition in Lima, capital of Peru, on Wednesday, in collaboration with leading Peruvian media outlets.
About 20 Spanish-language productions from CMG are featured at the event, including documentaries like "A Road to Prosperity" and "China: Race to the Future," the variety show "Bravo Youngsters," and popular dramas.
These productions will be broadcast on major Peruvian media platforms, including the National Institute of Radio and Television of Peru (IRTP), the new media outlet La Republica newspaper, and Panamericana Television.

In a video speech delivered at the event, Peru's Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen stated that the rich array of Chinese film and television offerings will enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of China and Peru. He wished the exhibition great success.

The broadcast of these premium documentaries and TV dramas is designed to allow Peruvian friends to fully experience the genuine friendliness of the Chinese people and the profound richness of Chinese culture. This initiative aims to enable them to gain a more comprehensive understanding of a trustworthy, lovable and respectable new China, according to a video speech by CMG President Shen Haixiong.
A cultural exhibition titled "Journey Through Civilizations: An Encounter with Liangzhu" also opened in Peru as part of its 2024 world tour. The exhibition will run until November 15.
Prominent figures from Peru's political and media circles, including the executive president of IRTP and board members of La Republica newspaper, attended the event.
