A spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces issued a warning in the early morning of November 1 local time, requiring residents near five buildings in the southern suburbs of Beirut, the Lebanese capital, to evacuate 500 meters away because they are "located near Hezbollah facilities that the Israeli army is about to attack." Lebanese Prime Minister Mikati said on October 30 that he hoped to achieve a ceasefire with Israel "in the next few hours or days," according to Al Jazeera.
