The Liaoning Flying Leopards beat the Fujian Sturgeons 116-100 in Quanzhou, southeast China's Fujian Province, on Thursday, securing their seventh win of the season and continuing to lead the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA).

Liaoning had six players score double-digit points, including over 20 by Wang Lanqin, Fu Hao and Kyle Fogg. Wang contributed team-high 23 points plus six assists and two steals. Han Dejun attacked with great efficiency in the paint by shooting 7-for-8 from the field to get a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds.

The first half of the game was very close as the visitors led by only two points, 58-56. Both sides kept their defense loose in the first quarter but then tightened it with in the second. Liaoning outscored Fujian by one point in both.

Fujian suffered a long-time field goal (FG) drought four minutes into the third quarter during which Liaoning drove a 17-0 run. The home team called a timeout to calm the players down, but their deficit reached 17 points, 87-70 when the quarter ended.

Liaoning maintained an advantage of at least 15 points during most time in the fourth quarter thanks to solid finishing work by Han, Fu and Wang. Joseph Young tried to reverse the situation for the hosts by launching a series of isolation attacks, but he was outnumbered by Liaoning's plural firepower sources.

Young scored court-high 24 points off the bench. Li Yiyang posted a double-double of 15 points and 10 assists.
