Peru will host the annual Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders' Meeting from November 10 to 16 this year. Like Peru, many countries in Latin America have a long history and splendid civilizations. This gives China and Latin America more opportunities for cultural exchanges and mutual understanding.
In this episode of THE HYPE, we focus on the cultural exchanges between China and Latin America. We invite Beatriz Contrera, an Chilean student at Peking University, Aníbal Feres, a documentary director of Chilean press agency Pressenza, and Patrick Lin, a former international Chinese teacher in Confucius Institute in Brazil to talk about what they have experienced in Latin America about Chinese culture, the similarities and differences between the two civilizations in their eyes, as well as how to better communicate and understand each other in the future.
