China has accelerated the construction of the fourth pipeline of its massive west-to-east gas transmission project. The fourth line starts from Wuqia County in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and ends in Zhongwei City in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It has a designed carrying capacity of 15 billion cubic meters annually. As of the end of September, the project has delivered over 980 billion cubic meters of natural gas to millions of households.
