Elegant and graceful: a herd of milu, or Pere David's deer, was spotted crossing a wetland area in Dongtai, east China’s Jiangsu Province. The halodendron wormwood plant growing in the area has entered its best viewing period, laying out a stylish "red carpet" for the deer grazing there.
This species of deer enjoys first-class state protection in China, and its population in Jiangsu has been steadily growing since the 1980s.
