Located in the southeast of Peru's Cusco, Vinicunca, or rainbow mountain, offers a wonderful view and has become one of the tourist attractions in the land of the Incas. The colors of Vinicunca are due to a geological formation accumulated over time by the mixture of marine, lake and river elements. This gathering of minerals dragged by the waters of the mountain range, winds and humidity has caused the oxidation of the place and has made the mountain acquire a diversity of colors.
