The inaugural World Conference on Classics opened in Beijing on November 6, showcasing China's progress in revitalizing and innovating traditional culture to enrich modern life. As part of the event, a special performance was held on the same day at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Artists from the China National Opera and Dance Drama Theater presented excerpts from the original dance drama "Confucius" as well as adaptations of classic Greek compositions performed on traditional Chinese instruments.
