Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered the immediate dispatch of two rescue planes to assist Israeli citizens following reports of a "very violent incident" in Amsterdam targeting Israeli nationals, his office announced on Friday.

Following the attack, Israel's National Security Ministry advised its citizens in Amsterdam to remain in their hotel rooms. "Fans who went to see a football game encountered anti-Semitism and were attacked with unimaginable cruelty just because of their Jewishness and Israeliness," Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir posted on X.

The specific nature of the attacks was not immediately clear.

Additionally, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar has asked Dutch authorities to help ensure Israeli citizens reach the airport safely, as he discussed with his Dutch counterpart Caspar Veldkamp during a phone call on Friday.
