Built to commemorate Xue Tao, a famous female poet of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Wangjianglou Park in Chengdu features hundreds of varieties of bamboo – some wider than a fully-grown adult, others as thin as your arm. There are a number of pavilions from which you can admire the swaying bamboo groves and delight in the serenity of the park.
