President Xi Jinping and Italian President Sergio Mattarella viewed a selection of repatriated Chinese artifacts in Beijing on Friday.

Xi noted that during his 2019 visit to Italy, Italy had returned 796 illegally trafficked Chinese cultural artifacts, setting a new milestone in cultural heritage cooperation. Italy's recent return of 56 more artifacts reflects its respect for Chinese heritage and exemplifies the strong friendship between the two nations.
