Cindy Ruan, vice president of IKEA China, said at a press event on Friday at the seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE) held in Shanghai that China's capability in innovation is particularly distinctive.
"We have seen that many of our products designed and manufactured in China have become global hits," she said.
"Last year, our exhibition stand received 40,000 visitors. And just before I came here today, they told me our stand had already reached 10,000 visitors," Ruan told the press, adding that such a large volume of visitors gives the company a great opportunity to receive immediate feedback on products.
"I don't believe any other exhibition in China can put together as many high-level dialogues as CIIE. Such dialogues are very meaningful for companies," she said. "They help us understand the current focus of attention in our industry and society."
