At Airshow China 2024, a model showcasing technology for the offshore recovery of China's reusable rockets was displayed for the first time. This technology, designed for retrieving rockets from low Earth orbit, represents a significant step toward establishing a flight-based operational model for space launches. It aims to enable more cost-effective and frequent missions, advancing sustainable space operations. Additionally, it has the potential to reduce takeoff payload and increase the rocket's effective payload capacity.
