Pan Chengzun has lived in Peru for more than 20 years. He currently works in the fields of traditional Chinese medicine and media. In 1996, Pan, who is from China, became the first acupuncturist at the Hospital of EsSalud in Peru. Through interactions with locals, Pan has found many cultural similarities between China and Peru. He says that the people of both nations value family and friendship greatly. Over his 20 years in Peru, Pan has dedicated himself to promoting friendly relations between the two countries, participating in numerous cultural exchange activities.

Since 2013, China has been Peru's largest trading partner. Pan believes that the economies of China and Peru have strong complementarity, with Peru possessing abundant natural resources and China having advanced technology and development experience. He expects the friendship between China and Peru to continue to thrive, achieving cooperation and win-win outcomes.
