As a time-honored tradition, residents of Wuyuan County, southeast China's Jiangxi Province laid out newly harvested crops of different colors – such as peppers, rice and soybeans – in bamboo baskets on rooftops and their yards, presenting a colorful autumn scene. Known as "shai qiu," this activity sees the harvest crops dried in the sun.
