The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Week 2024 is underway in Peru. Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria, the executive director of the APEC Secretariat, said the value of APEC is the ability to build mutual trust and sustain conversations that has been taking place over the years. She added that APEC is very focused on economies and is not overwhelmed by politics and external noises.
