Set to open by end-2024 as part of the Belt and Road Initiative, Peru's Chancay Port, located 70 kilometers north of Lima, is poised to transform trade between Latin America and Asia. Built by Chinese state-owned COSCO Shipping, the multi-purpose port will offer a direct route for Peruvian goods to Shanghai, reducing shipping times from 60 days to 35 days.
CGTN's Olivia He reports on how the port marks a new milestone for trade in the region.
