The ancient wisdom of Chinese agricultural civilization, a cornerstone of Chinese culture, carries the genetic code of the nation's enduring vitality. A new documentary series about Chinese agricultural heritage systems, produced by China Media Group(CMG), aired on November 14 on its CCTV-1 channel.
Rooted in rural life, Chinese agricultural civilization has flourished through centuries of practice, leaving a profound impact on every aspect of Chinese society. Examples include the lychee cultivation system in south China's Guangdong Province, the dryland farming system in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and the traditional freshwater pearl cultivation and utilization system in east China's Zhejiang Province.
Employing modern filming techniques such as macro, ultra-wide-angle, underwater and time-lapse photography, the series creates an immersive visual experience. By showcasing the landscapes of agricultural heritage sites, it invites viewers to discover the unique charm of ancient Chinese agricultural traditions.
