At the 13th Zhengzhou International Shaolin Wushu Competition, 33 athletes from 10 countries took part in the Shaolin Wushu Duanwei grading examination. Recognition at elementary level requires at least three years of systematic practice, while advanced-level applicants need to show achievements in wushu theory and philosophy, and significant contributions to the development of the martial art on top of their mastery. CGTN host Sergey Gordeev meets several international athletes to learn about their hopes for the grading exam.
