They came from different walks of life, but they all had one thing in common: a love for Peking Opera. A program for Peking Opera lovers hosted by China Media Group (CMG) aired on various platforms on November 15. The event attracted over a thousand participants from various regions across China, including students, subway drivers, construction workers and teachers. After expert evaluations, 48 enthusiasts were selected to compete for 20 classic Peking Opera roles. The winners partnered with famous artists to perform ten captivating scenes from famous operas. This interactive program aims to connect Peking Opera enthusiasts, explore the contemporary value of traditional culture and showcase the beauty of this treasured art form.
