The world's first 6-ton-class tiltrotor aircraft, the Lan Ying R6000, made its debut at the 15th Airshow China on November 13. With a payload capacity of 2 tonnes, this aircraft can take off and land vertically in helicopter mode without the need of a runway, pushing the boundaries of long-distance point-to-point unmanned logistics transportation. At cruising altitude, its rotors tilt into a fixed-wing mode, reaching a maximum speed of 550 km/h, breaking the limit of traditional helicopters. It can connect locations up to 4,000 km apart without transfers and is designed for both passenger and cargo. This breakthrough marks yet another milestone in the advancement of China's aviation technology.
