The People's Procuratorate of Zhuhai City in south China's Guangdong Province on Saturday approved the arrest of a man who rammed his car into a crowd at a sports center on Monday, killing 35 people and injuring 43 others.
The 62-year-old man, identified by his surname Fan, was accused of endangering public safety by dangerous means.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
Police previously said preliminary investigation indicates that Fan's actions stemmed from his dissatisfaction with the property division outcome of his divorce.
