China is ready to work with the Australian side to build a more mature, stable and fruitful comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Australia to inject more stability and certainty into the region and the world, Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Monday.

Xi made the remarks while meeting with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on the sidelines of the 19th G20 Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Albanese said, "We live in the fastest growing region of the world in human history, and the rise of China has contributed to this while lifting the living standards of hundreds of millions of people through increased economic activity."
