A total of eight international ice and snow sports events will be held in China over three weeks from November 19 to December 8.
The 2024-25 International Bobsleigh and Skeleton Federation (IBSF) World Cup will begin its second stop in Yanqing on Tuesday. Yanqing was one of the three competition zones for the 2022 Winter Olympics in addition to Beijing and Zhangjiakou.
Chen Wenhao of China finished in fifth place in the men's skeleton first-day race, while Zhao Dan took fifth place in the women's competition at the opening stop of the series in Pyeongchang, South Korea, on November 16.
The 2024 Cup of China, the sixth event of the 2024–25 International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating, will take place in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality from November 22-24. Jin Boyang leads the home performers.
The 2024-25 Freeski Big Air World Cup season will come to Beijing's Shougang Park on November 29. On the same day, the ISU World Cup Speed Skating will be held at Beijing's National Speed Skating Oval, nicknamed the "Ice Ribbon," in the Chinese capital.
On November 30, the 2024-25 International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Snowboard Alpine World Cup will get underway with Parallel Slalom and Parallel Giant Slalom races in Chifeng, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
Then in the third week, the 2024-25 Freeski Park & Pipe and Snowboard Park & Pipe will be contested at the Skiing Genting Resort Secret Garden in Zhangjiakou from December 5-8.
The 2024-25 ISU Short Track World Tour will come to the Capital Indoor Stadium in Beijing on December 6.
And on December 7, the FIS Snowboard Alpine World Cup will return to China in Yanqing.
