The organizers of the World Internet Conference (WIC) held an event called the "Release and Presentation of Outstanding Cases of Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace" in Wuzhen, east China's Zhejiang Province. This year marks the 11th WIC.
In December 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping put forward the idea of "building a community with a shared future in cyberspace" for the first time at the second WIC, which has drawn wide attention and recognition from the international community.
"Building a community with a shared future in cyberspace is a concrete embodiment and major practice of the vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind and a manifestation of our great interest in the common well-being of humanity, reflecting the shared aspiration of the international community," said Cao Shumin, deputy chief of the Cyberspace Administration of China.

Since 2021, the WIC has released outstanding cases of "Jointly Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace" for three consecutive years, demonstrating innovative vitality of the internet and telling vivid stories of international exchanges and cooperation in cyberspace. It contributes China's wisdom and approach to the development and global governance of the internet.
Reviewed by 30 authoritative experts in various fields, 13 cases stood out from more than 230 submitted worldwide, many of which are closely related to people's daily lives.
Born in 2016, the KaiOS is designed for non-smartphones, allowing them to be connected like smartphones. "The 'Kai' in the KaiOS comes from the Chinese word meaning 'open'," said Sebastien Codeville, founder and CEO of KaiOS Technologies. "We hope to open the door to the internet world for everyone."
"A Taste of China," a case jointly launched by Google Arts & Culture and the World Federation of Chinese Catering Industry, allows users around the world to discover stories of Chinese cuisine, history and culture.
Yang Zhigang, deputy director of the Education Management Information Center of the Ministry of Education of China, talked about the construction of a global education and research system based on a database platform. Zhang Lianchong, executive deputy director of China's National Earth Observation Data Center, brought a case about strengthening global space-based disaster reduction cooperation and striving to eliminate the digital divide.

Other outstanding cases cover multiple fields, including international governance of cyberspace, maternal and children's health support, digital payments and financial services to help small and micro enterprises, big data and AI's new role in scam prevention, and digital transformation to boost global enterprises in achieving high-quality development.
