Brazil is a football powerhouse. But this November, six kids from a remote corner of China traveled nearly 17,000 kilometers to Rio de Janeiro to face off against some Brazilian kids in a friendly match. What's the story behind this? We went to the hometown of these young Chinese players and visited Rio's favelas, the birthplace of many Brazilian football legends. Along the way, we discovered that, despite being from opposite sides of the globe, these kids share much more in common than you'd expect. And as it turns out, this story is about far more than just football.
