On November 18, China's aviation authorities announced plans to launch eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) pilot projects in six cities. With the low-altitude economy officially incorporated into the government's work report, 2024 is being hailed as the "Year of Low-Altitude Economy" by industry experts, including Zhang Bo, China's first self-taught pilot to complete a round-the-world flight. CGTN's Zhao Chenchen met with Zhang at the recently concluded Airshow China to explore the country's low-altitude economy, focusing on the vital role of general aviation in its development.
