Chinese players have advanced to the women's singles, mixed doubles and women's doubles finals at the Badminton World Federation (BWF) China Masters in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, after beating their opponents in the semifinals on Saturday.

Gao Fangjie dropped Thai shuttler Supanida Katethong 21-16, 21-15 in the women's singles semifinals. Gao's comprehensive skill set gave her an advantage in both competitions.

Gao will face top-seeded An Se-young of South Korea in the final. An beat Tomoka Miyazaki 21-5, 22-20 in the other semifinal match on the day.

Chinese shuttlers have already secured a women's doubles trophy for China, as two pairs of the country, Liu Shengshu and Tan Ning, Li Yijing and Luo Xumin, will face each other in the final.

As the No. 2 seeds, Liu and Tan swept past Nami Matsuyama and Chiharu Shida of Japan 21-12, 21-17. Seventh-seeded Li and Luo knocked out another Japanese pair, Tuki Fukushima and Mayu Matsumoto 21-16, 21-13.

Home favorites Fang Yanzhe and Huang Dongping continued to show dominance in the mixed doubles event, defeating Chen Tang Jie and Toh Ee Wei of Malaysia 21-18, 21-13. They will compete with the Malaysian pair Hoo Pang Ron and Cheng Su Yin for the title.

Jonathan Christie of Indonesia eliminated Shi Yuqi of China 21-17, 21-16 in the men's singles semifinals to challenge in the final Anders Antonsen who beat Viktor Axelsen 16-21, 21-9, 21-20 in the all-Danish contest.

Sabar Karyaman Gutama and Muhammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani of Indonesia defeated He Jiting and Ren Xiangyu of China 21-16, 21-18 in the men's doubles semifinals. In the other last four match of the event, South Korea pair Jin Yong and Seo Seung-jae edged Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty of India 21-18, 14-21, 21-16.
