Former Peruvian congressman and legal expert Guillermo Aliaga shared his views on the meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and his U.S. counterpart Joe Biden in Lima on the sidelines of the APEC meeting. He said the Xi-Biden meeting would help promote global security and stability, and that as the two largest economies in the world, the decisions made by China and the U.S. not only affect their own people but also have far-reaching implications for global development. Aliaga also expressed hope that after the U.S. elections, the relationship between China and the U.S. can achieve a smooth transition, and that dialogue between the two countries can continue.
