Editor's Note: Peru was one of the first Latin American countries to establish diplomatic relations with the People's Republic of China. Bilateral relations have since continued to develop in depth while political mutual trust is being constantly consolidated. How can China contribute to Peru's development and modernization? How to build an Asia-Pacific community with a shared future and start a new era in Asia-Pacific development? In this edition of Leaders Talk, CMG's Zou Yun sat down with Peruvian President Dina Boluarte in Lima ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to Peru from November 14 to 17 to inaugurate the massive China-built deep-water Chancay Port and attend the 31st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting. As the catchphrase "from Chancay to Shanghai" resonates on both sides of the Pacific, China and Peru are looking to forge a new maritime-land corridor between China and Latin America and connect the Great Inca Trail.
