The coast guard of southeast China's Fujian Province on Tuesday conducted routine law enforcement patrols in the waters near Kinmen, according to a statement issued by the China Coast Guard.
The Fujian coast guard has been organizing fleets to strengthen law enforcement patrols in the waters near Kinmen since the start of November, in an effort to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese fishermen, including those in the Taiwan region, as well as to ensure the safety of their lives and properties, the statement said.
The patrols have also guaranteed the navigation and operations in the Xiamen-Kinmen waters.
