"It is estimated that there are over 2,300 plant species in Beijing, and the city's biodiversity therefore surpasses that of the entire UK," said Yu Tianyi, a scientific botanical illustrator. He specializes in combining both scientific botanical illustrations and environmental illustrations in order to achieve scientific accuracy, while also capturing the true form of various biological species. Fortunately, his hometown of Beijing, is rich in plant species. Yu Tianyi's work has helped more people to recognize the importance of preserving natural landscapes and vegetation, and advocate for the protection, conservation, and introduction of native species.
