Severe rainstorms and strong winds have struck the southern Gaza Strip, worsening conditions for displaced Palestinians. The storms damaged around 10,000 tents in Al-Mawasi camp, a crucial refuge for those fleeing violence since October 2023. The camp now hosts over 100,000 displaced individuals, far surpassing its original population of 9,000. Many families, forced to shelter near the shoreline, faced additional devastation as sea surges swept through the area.
