U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has announced plans to impose a 10 percent tariff on all goods imported from China. CGTN interviewed Keith Kelly, an American lawyer in the entertainment, technology and advertising sectors, about the future of China-U.S. ties. During his studies in Chinese law at Peking University, Kelly developed a strong interest in the Chinese entertainment industry and has worked on cross-border entertainment and intellectual property issues, conducting extensive research on U.S.-China trade and entertainment law.
In this video, Kelly explores the potential for U.S.-China cultural cooperation. He says the key to cross-cultural collaboration is maintaining an open mindset, which helps participants better understand and appreciate each other's cultural differences. Through this understanding, creators can draw from diverse perspectives, sparking new ideas and inspirations. Kelly also notes that while cultural differences may present challenges, these challenges provide opportunities for both sides to learn and grow. He believes that only through open dialogue and mutual respect can China and the U.S. achieve deeper exchanges and cooperation in the cultural realm. This cooperation can not only promote the development of the arts and entertainment industries, but also foster mutual understanding and friendship between the peoples of both nations.
