China swept past India 8-0 at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Mixed Team World Cup in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province, on Monday, to secure their second consecutive win at the tournament. The team did not lose one single game against either India or Australia in their first match.

Lin Shidong and Kuai Man played first for the hosts in the mixed doubles match and it took them only 15 minutes to beat Jeet Chandra and Pritha Vartikar 11-8, 11-2, 11-2 for China to lead 3-0.

Wang Yidi was then sent to the women's singles match to face Yashaswini Ghorpade. Wang claimed the first two games 11-4, 11-3, but Ghorpade put up tough resistance in the third. She began with a 3-1 lead and saved two match points when she was trailing 10-6. In the end, Wang outlasted the opponent 11-8 in the final game, giving her side a 6-0 advantage.

Snehit Suravajjula appeared for India in the third battle of the men's singles match against Wang Chuqin. The first game was close as Wang only gained the lead at 5-4. Having found his rhythm, Wang launched more fierce attacks, outscoring the opponent 6-1 to clinch the first game 11-5.

Wang made a strong start in the second game, building a quick 4-1 lead. However, Suravajjula's rally came immediately as he got seven consecutive points to lead 8-4. Wang was caught off guard at first but knuckled down to tie the game 8-8, before outperforming Suravajjula in the final clutch plays to seale the victory 11-9.
