Thousands of protesters gathered outside Georgia's parliament overnight Sunday, setting bins alight and throwing fireworks at police. People have been demonstrating against the government's decision to suspend negotiations to join the European Union. Police were seen deploying water cannons and using tear gas in an attempt to clear the protesters. Georgia's Interior Ministry said on Sunday that at least 27 protesters, 16 police officers and one media worker had been hospitalized.
