China has built new oil and gas pipelines spanning over 4,000 kilometers this year as part of its efforts to improve energy security.
On December 2, PipeChina announced that the China-Russia east-route natural gas pipeline, with the largest single-line gas transmission capacity in China, has been fully connected. With its gas transmission capacity increasing by 76 percent from four years ago to 394 billion cubic meters today, China's national gas and oil pipeline network is capable of transporting more than one billion cubic meters of gas each day.
