In the vast Badain Jaran Desert of north China's Inner Mongolia, herders recently embarked on the annual winter migration to help camels move to safe winter pastures.
Riding motorcycles through rolling dunes, they guide camels on a journey of over 10 days. Their magnificent migration has attracted a few photographers to capture the grand view.
Each spring and summer, herders release the camels into the desert when the weather is more favorable. When winter approaches, they drive the camels out of the desert and into winter pastures to ensure their safety during the cold season.
