Dressed in traditional attire, Dong people in Leli Dong Village of Rongjiang County, Guizhou Province held various kinds of folk activities such as singing, playing the lusheng and holding parades to celebrate the Dong New Year. As the most important holiday among Dong people, Dong New Year is time for family reunion,commemorating ancestors and celebrating the harvest. It is also a good opportunity for Dong people to showcase their ethnic culture. Listed as a national intangible cultural heritage item of China in 2011, the annual celebrations in Rongjiang attract tourists and visitors from across the country to feel the festive vibe.
