Spring Festival joins UNESCO’s World Heritage List

The Spring Festival, China’s biggest celebration, has officially been inscribed on UNESCO’s Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Marking the Lunar New Year, this 15-day festival celebrates family, tradition and unity, featuring red decorations, fireworks and cherished customs. Now a World Heritage, it shares its rich cultural legacy with the globe.
