From the brink of extinction to a symbol of resilience, Qiang New Year has been officially moved from UNESCO's Urgent Safeguarding List to its Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The milestone honors the centuries-old traditions of the Qiang people, an ethnic group in China's Sichuan Province.
