China's National Development and Reform Commission launched an implementation plan on Thursday to advance the high-quality development of the ice-snow economy in northeast China. The plan focuses on transforming ice-snow resources into actual income through key initiatives in four areas: winter tourism, winter sports, winter culture and winter tourism equipment. It emphasizes improving the quality of winter tourism and extending the seasonal tourist trade into year-round business, as well as enriching consumption scenarios, upgrading traditional tourism products and enhancing transportation infrastructure.
