The world is at a watershed moment, and this assertion resonates with the vision of President Xi, who believes that the world is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century, according to Nepali Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.
In an exclusive interview with China Media Group, Zou Yun sat down with the Nepali prime minister during his four-day official visit to China from December 2 to 5. Oli praised and expressed agreement with the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping.
"All are important, because if economic development is not there, other types of security cannot exist without economic security. Nothing can be truly good," said Oli. "Hungry people can't do anything. Economic prosperity comes first. And then, we want to make the people happy. To be happy, every person in the world must feel that he or she is safe."
Oli said he appreciates China's efforts and practices regarding these issues – both internal and external – related to justice and peace.
