Chinese Premier Li Qiang holds a "1+10" dialogue in Beijing on December 9, with the heads of 10 international economic organizations, including the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund and the World Trade Organization. The theme of the dialogue is Building Consensus on Development to Promote Global Common Prosperity. Qu Qiang, a fellow of the Belt and Road Research Center at Minzu University of China, says China is assuming responsibility to empower emerging markets and reduce economic polarization.
