How can Chinese stories reach a global audience more effectively? While the creativity of seasoned directors plays a crucial role, it also requires the vision and ambition of young directors with an international perspective as well as a deep connection to Chinese narratives.

In a conversation with CGTN's Zhang Meng, Zhu Xinyi, a rising talent whose short film LOVER 404 was showcased at this year's Hainan International Film Festival, shared her thoughts: "It offers a chance to learn the working dynamics within the Chinese film industry."
