On December 8, the third Tengchong Scientists Forum wrapped up in Tengchong, southwest China's Yunnan Province. The three-day event brought together academicians, educators and business leaders to discuss how technology can drive high-quality development. Among the distinguished guests was George Smoot, who was awarded the 2006 Nobel Prize in Physics for his pioneering research on cosmic microwave background radiation.
