Mainland's senior Taiwan affairs official meets Taiwan delegates for CEO Summit

Song Tao, head of both the Taiwan Work Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, met with delegates from Taiwan attending the annual Cross-Straits CEO Summit in Xiamen City, southeast China's Fujian Province. Song emphasized that the mainland will continue to promote cross-Straits business and cultural communication and cooperation based on the one-China Principle and the 1992 Consensus. He added that the mainland hopes entrepreneurs from Taiwan will contribute more to the integrated development of both sides. Delegates from the Taiwan region expressed their hope to continue increasing exchanges and strengthen the nation's economy together.
